Claims of Pairin joining Warisan denied

SEMPORNA: Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) members have been urged not to be influenced by Parti Warisan Sabah’s claims that Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan will join the opposition party.

Datuk Daniel Kinsik who represented PBS acting president Datuk Seri Panglima Maximus Johnity Ongkili when officiating at the PBS Joint Annual General Meeting for Kunak, Sulabayan, Senallang and Bugaya divisions held at the district’s public library on Monday, stressed that Pairin would never take such a decision after some of his relatives were reported to have moved their support to Warisan.

He said Pairin had formed PBS and he would  never throw this party away because he loved it.

Daniel said the rumor was spread widely by the opposition party with the aim of creating confusion among the party members and supporters in the hope to give Warisan an upper hand in the coming general election.

He said PBS was a strong party with strong support from the various races of the people of Sabah which were united and Warisan’s hope would not be achieved.

Crispin Datuk Kitingan, the younger brother of Pairin, had recently joined Warisan after his retirement as a Safoda senior officer.

Meanwhile,  a spokesperson for all the four divisions, Omar Hakim in his speech praised the supreme council member of PBS,  Larry Koh @ Rahim Abdullah who had given his full support to their divisions.

He said Larry’s strong financial support would enable the divisions to achieve great things, including the general meeting and other activities for the party members.
